The good news is that I was able to purchase the desktop 1 year subscription version thru Amazon at a discount.
The bad news is that with Intuit Quick Books moving all of their products to an annual subscription model, this is going to cost our small church organization over 3 times what our normal annual cost used to be with the enhanced payroll subscription!
They will try to sell you an online version that is at an even better introductory price, but then you pay even more thru the nose for every year thereafter – so if you don’t need the offered benefits which we didn’t – BEWARE! As it is, I will have to cancel my automatic renewal of the desk top version every year which they will charge me at full cost for being a loyal customer , and hope that I can re-purchase another discounted version every year from Amazon or another retailer.
In terms of product functionality, the Desktop Pro Plus version is the same as the Pro version I was using – so no new learning curve needed; however – very disappointing that the same functionality comes at a much higher cost.
